Green-lipped Mussels (Perna canaliculus ) are found only in New Zealand waters. The term green-lipped doesn’t actually refer to lips, but to
the colour of the edge of the shell which has a green tinge. The powdered extract of Green-lipped Mussels contains very high concentrations
